(4) Speculation

I think the purpose of intermittent morning gassing (usually beginning at 0400) is to keep me from going back to sleep. This forces me to sleep late while the fans run at full power, thus heating up the apartment sooner.

By the way, I tried to do the gas log yesterday but apparently I inadvertently entered some noxious HTML (tap) which added about 200 blank lines to each entry. I finally solved the problem by deleting the offending post.
